Laser tag + Gel Blaster
Nexus Arena runs classic laser tag and Gel Blaster on the same connected smart blasters. One installation, two attractions, and an audience that stretches from a cautious five-year-old to a competitive thirty-year-old.
Why it is two attractions
Traditional laser tag registers a beam. Nexus adds a physical projectile on the same platform, and the operator switches between them in software.
Mode one
The classic game, with no projectile. Infrared hit detection, automated scoring, and a referee that never misses a call. This is the mode that suits the youngest players and the most cautious operators.
Mode two
The same blasters, now firing soft water-based Gellets. Players feel the hit instead of reading it off a screen. This is the mode that brings teenagers and adults back on a Friday night.
What you are buying
A high-resolution screen carries load-out, ammo, health, and score. Addressable LEDs show team and state of play. Hit sensors live in the blaster, so the vest is optional rather than required.
Illuminated panels, hit detection, speakers, and haptics. The vest calls out game events and lights up when a player takes a hit, which is what turns a match into something spectators watch.
Portals score the game, act as respawn points, and hold the power-ups players blast to collect. They mount flexibly and report wirelessly, so the arena layout is yours rather than the equipment's.
Retrofit, not rebuild
Existing layout and infrastructure reused, staff trained before opening day, and no operational downtime during installation. The results led Cinergy to build a third Nexus arena from scratch.
